About Jessica Boone
Jessica Boone earned her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in Piano Performance from University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Eugene and Elisabeth Pridonoff. Other influential teachers include Sharon Kay Stang at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Ralph Zitterbart at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.
While pursuing her Masters Degree in Piano Performance, Jessica also apprenticed to become a piano technician; someone who tunes, maintains and repairs the instrument. This path led to many interesting professional opportunities following graduate school Jessica worked at Steinway Hall in New York City, owned her own independent piano tech business by age 24, and worked for Steinway dealerships in Boston, MA and Cincinnati, OH.
Jessica began her first piano studio in Boston, in 2004. Within 6 months, she had a full studio, and discovered that she had a true passion for teaching. In 2007, her family relocated to Jersey City for her husband's work as a theater and broadcast television set designer, and Jessica and her husband Chris had their son, Owen. In 2008, Jessica returned to Cincinnati, and established Boone Piano Studio, where she currently has students of all ages and experience.
Boone Piano Studio continues to grow and change each year. In 2010, Jessica co-chaired the "Piano Playathon", a fundraiser for piano students to perform and earn money for the Ronald McDonald House charities of Cincinnati. In 2011, the Jessica added Group and Performance Classes, as well as a studio "Field trip" to Symphony Hall to hear a live concert pianist performance, which has become an annual part of the studio calendar. In 2012, the studio relocated to Reading. In 2016, we moved to our "forever" home in the Dry Run area of Anderson, and currently we are building a new and improved teaching studio in our home.
